Drawing is not typically considered an outdoor activity, and so often we rely on quick snaps without really looking or observing for an extended time. A solid board, such as a clipboard or an improvised chopping board and bulldog clip, plus some paper and a black pencil is all you need. Invite your child/ren to find a spot to draw. Detailed observation and line drawing is an important skill and possibly stories will emerge within the drawing too. You might audio record or write these stories.
